The nanoscientific field is very much interdisciplinary, which was evident by the attendance at the nanoBergen seminar the 23rd of November. We had representatives from different departments at UiB (physics and technology, biology, clinical dentistry, and chemistry), from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, and from the local companies EnSOL AS og Joma International AS. We also had a very interesting presentation and introduction to the “SFI Smart Ocean. Initiative for new Innovation Centre” by Jon Hellevang from GCE Subsea. Thank you to all of you that contributed and took part!
In addition to the research presentations we had a thought-provoking summary of the evaluation of the RCN’s NANO2021 programme by Bodil Holst. How we can ensure more applications and a higher success rate in the NANO2021 program from the University of Bergen?
Hopefully the meeting will spark further discussions, new ideas and collaborations, and ultimately successful grant applications!
